Five Months!

Zeke, you are 5 months old!

- You are 24 1/2 inches long and weigh 11.6 lbs. (according to our faulty at-home measurements)

- You are still wearing a lot of 0-3 month clothes, but I have started putting you in some of your 3-6 month clothes as well. You wear size 1 and 2 diapers. You're right in between at the moment, so we use what we have on hand and/or what has been given to us!

- You have started eating solid food. So far you've tried bananas (ranking #1 as your favorite), carrots, peas, oatmeal, malt-o-meal, scrambled eggs, and sometimes random licks from Mommy's fingers. You've started to get real loud if I try to eat while I'm feeding you and I'm not feeding you fast enough!

I like my high chair!

- You have started rolling over from your tummy to your back. I think you will roll from back to front soon.

- You have started making new noises, screaming being one of them. Not Mommy's favorite! But you are also spitting and blowing bubbles. You make some sounds like you're trying to talk as well. You've started with some consonant sounds too!

- You are chewing on so many things and drooling a lot. Will you get a tooth soon?

- You have started noticing Dora as she moves past you. I'll be interested to see what happens when you actually start going after her!

- You are attending your first VBS this week!

- You are moving your hands all. the. time. You like to reach up and grab my nose and mouth when I'm trying to rock you to sleep. You sometimes hit me while I'm feeding you. You are grabbing your toys on your car seat with great accuracy. Your hand-eye coordination is improving greatly!

- You have lost some of the longer hair you were born with, but it looks like new growth is coming in well underneath.

- You typically sleep about 5-6 hours at a time, eat, then sleep another 3-4 hours. Most typically you sleep from around 10 pm - 8 am. ***Very generally :o)***

- You still love to read! We read at least one book every night before bed. 

We love you so much, Zeke! As everyone says, the time is just flying by, so I am trying to enjoy every minute. I honestly cannot believe it's been 5 months since you were born. I love you more and more every day. The next few months will probably take us on several adventures. We are glad you're here to join us in them.
