A Morning for the Girls

Zoë and I had a fun morning with Grandma on Tuesday. Since it's her spring break, she took us to breakfast at Mimi's Cafe! We got *delicious* french toast and Zoë had a puppy dog pancake. It was very quiet when we arrived around 8 am and Zoë seemed a little weirded out by the lack of noise. She was very clingy to me and even had me feed her for awhile. Then as the noise level increased, she became more comfortable and finally sat in the high chair and fed herself. Think she is used to more noise on a regular basis??

After breakfast, we went over to Target and did a little shopping. Zoë got a new headband that makes her look like a bunny and picked out a new shirt from Grandma for Easter. It was a fun morning!

Last week of Winter

We have had some gorgeous weather for our last week of winter! We've tried to spend lots of time outside taking walks and soaking up the sunshine. Not to mention, with the time change, we can take walks after supper again. Hooray!

My phone likes to shut down when I try to put up a blog post with pictures, but it's the quickest way to get pictures on here! So I apologize for the posts being fewer recently. But this week we:

I took Levi out on Monday morning for his last gymnastics class, then a lunch date at Noodles and Co. for his favorite, spaghetti, and then a dental check-up. He loved the one-on-one time!

Zeke is learning new notes and new songs and working hard on his piano skills. I'm so proud of the way he has improved over the past year. We've been taking things nice and slow and it is paying off! He is reading music and enjoys his *almost* daily practice time. 

I captured this quick shot of Daddy-Daughter. Sometimes when I can't get her to sleep for me, she'll do it for Jeremiah. She never clings to me like a little monkey, but she does with her Daddy!

Levi's Birthday Party

It's been nearly 3 weeks already, but better late than never :)
We had a fun time for Levi's birthday party. Jeremiah created a scavenger hunt around the house with coordinating Bible verses for the kids to search for the pieces to the marshmallow shooters they made.

Zeke's new hat matched the camo theme of the day

Aunt Teresa and Miriam face-timed for the present opening. 

I pulled out a pair of the boys' old camo pants so Zoë could participate too. 

Zeke and Levi both enjoyed having a little baby at the party. 

I like to take a family photo at each party so we can see how we have all changed over the past year. I just recently purchased awesome new frames from Hobby Lobby to update the previous ones for each of the kids. Then their coordinating party picture goes in the frame for an entire year for them to enjoy in their rooms.

A fun table-full of friends and family enjoyed pizza and fruit salad. 

I think Levi was pleased with his cake and his party. What a great smile he has!

That night we started a new tradition -- driving around town to see Christmas lights at the end of his birthday

We had a great time celebrating Levi's 3rd birthday and look forward to the year ahead! 

Workbench Fun

The boys, and Zoë, have enjoyed breaking in their workbench this week. The chalkboard paint was put on yesterday and Zeke has already begun making plans on it. I see many hours of fun ahead with this fun gift from Daddy! Especially as next week is going to get cold again and they need some time to be out of the house and pound on some nails :) Have a great weekend! 

A Week in December

Zeke helped me make the first of our Christmas candy -- peanut butter "buckeye" pretzel bites! They turned out great and we saved a few for Christmas day. 

We got another nice snow! Zoë was happy for approximately 1.75 minutes before she fell over and started crying and wouldn't stop until I took her inside. 

Zeke found the pinwheel to play with in the snow. They get pretty creative when they need to. Don't they look so cute in their snow gear?!

My colorful girl-- wearing a yellow dress from my childhood, yellow leggings, and then you can see the rest. She was chasing the boys down the hill as they rode their bikes over by the school. She loves trying to keep up!

We had such a wonderful time in Florida! We're sure to go back again some time, but were thankful to be out of there beforeHurricane Matthew arrived.
