Playing?

These two are such opposites in many ways.
If Zeke were on the bottom, there would be no happy giggles escaping his mouth.
It's all about perspective... whether this is a fun game or you feel trapped.

We're having a ...

For those of you who aren't on Facebook we had fun putting together a little slideshow to announce the gender of our next baby. I'll post that here, but also some of the photos. They flip through pretty quick and I thought some of them were really great!

The outfit I gasped when I saw, so we had to get it!!
The outfit Jeremiah and I both agreed on.
We look forward to meeting our little girl at the end of this summer!

Orange Julius... with Banana!

I saw a recipe for Orange Julius and it caught my attention. Then she went and added a banana and I figured I could pass it off as health food for my kids! So I decided I'd whip up a batch one evening after supper. I made Jeremiah a modified version first with coconut milk. Then I made the rest for the boys and I to share.

It was good, but very strong. I had a hard time knowing exact amounts since I did just guess on how much I used for Jeremiah. A few things I will change next time...

- Maybe add a little more milk or ice. The orange juice concentrate was very strong and overpowering, which is obviously delicious. But I wouldn't mind making it stretch a little further so we could have more servings and maybe not quite as strong a taste.

- I will either eliminate or greatly reduce the vanilla. It seemed a little overpowering and unnecessary. **updated 4/20 -- just made them without the vanilla. I liked them WAY better. Only enough leftover to make 3 Popsicles this time!*

The boys and I each got to drink some and I was able to make popsicles (like she suggested) with the rest. I got 6 which was perfect for my little popsicle container. With the strong orange flavor I actually preferred them as popsicles over drinking. This is a recipe I feel is worth tweaking and making great for our tastes this summer! Maybe you will try it too!

Find the recipe by clicking here --> Six Sisters Stuff.

Zeke enjoying a popsicle!
Yummy!
The handoff -- look at that concentration from both boys... "Don't drop it!"
"Hmm, this is pretty good!"
"But cold!"
"It hurts! But I want more... "
Yay for popsicles!

A Joyous Friday

I had worked on a post to put up on another day besides Friday, but alas did not finish. So this shall be a quick, albeit adorable, thrown together post!

Out for a sunny afternoon walk. We went almost 2 miles!

This little guy is 16 months old today!

And when your older child comes to the office and says, "Levi is getting into something!" Even if you can't figure out what that something is, you should check it out sooner rather than later! In yesterday's case... Butter!
Wishing all of you a great weekend!

Easter Fun!

The boys had a lot of fun with the Easter egg hunt this year. I was able to capture a couple videos to share with you.

Getting ready to start...
There were probably close to 100 eggs for the boys' age group to find. They were filled with candy and coins. Levi did a great job, although he did have the tendency to throw each egg into the bucket. I'm glad they were plastic!

I am surprised at the number of pictures I have captured in which Zeke has been sneezing!

Enjoying a little hammock time!

Fashion Statement

He brought me his boots.
No snow on the ground.
No socks on his feet.
But totally adorable!
Outside we went...
