3 Months Old
Zoë Kayte, you are 3 months old today! Here's what you've been up to:

- You are smiling pretty regularly. You like when Zeke talks with you. You gave him some really big smiles last week!
- You are holding your head up better. You do get tired and bobble quite a bit, but you are getting strong.

- You are wearing 0-3 and 3 month clothes! And size 1 diapers, although we are doing mostly cloth now. You weigh approximately 11 pounds.

- You are starting to sleep a 4 hour stretch, from 11-3, pretty regularly. I think we are about to enter 3 naps a day because you are definitely more active and alert during parts of the day now. You'll sit in your bouncer and enjoy watching everyone. If you're in another room, you'll often cry if you're left alone; once we bring you in with us, you are ok. You seem to enjoy the company :)
- You are looking around at your surroundings and have started kicking your legs quite a bit.
- You have begun talking to us. Such a sweet little coo.
- You have begun talking to us. Such a sweet little coo.
- You mostly breastfeed now. Some days you take a bottle, but usually only 2-4 oz. at the most! Levi keeps trying to feed you food when you sit next to him at meals. Only one day have I found a veggie straw sticking out of your mouth. That was scary!
Zoë Kayte, you are our darling, lovely baby girl. These first 3 months have gone quickly and have been enjoyable. You are a sweet-tempered baby and seem to love your brothers. Your main attention is focused on Mommy, but you do seem to have room in your heart for others :) We look forward to this holiday season celebrating your first Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year and beyond!

Biggest Loser: Power Sculpt
Another video to review! I put several on hold at the library and they all decided to come in at once! But this one was first, so here I'll start. The Biggest Loser: Power Sculpt.
While I do hope to lose weight, my focus has changed over the past year from wanting to be lean to striving to be strong! I still want to take walks/jogs/runs, but it won't be my only focus like it was before. I am including circuit and strength training. This video was more advanced than the previous one (power walk). But it was doable. My only dumbbells are 8 lbs. each which I could only use on a couple of the exercises. I have a ways to go to build back my strength. I grabbed a couple of bags of beans so I could have at least a little resistance. The moves were straightforward and fairly easy to perform and I felt like I had worked out my muscles. I did choose the easier, modified versions on some of the exercises. Since I typically only have these videos for a week (since they're loaners from the library) I only made it through the warm-up and first 20 minute section. I think I would like to get a little stronger with other beginner videos and then get this one again in a few months.
If you want to gain some strength, I think this video would be a beneficial one!
To life... and getting stronger!

Two Months Old!
Zoë Kayte, you are 2 months old!
-You are starting to have more control of your head. You're trying to look around and see all that's going on. You have longer periods of being alert and content.
- You are on the verge of growing out of several of your newborn outfits!! I've started putting a few of your 0-3 month clothes on you. We have moved on to size 1 diapers and I'm using cloth part-time. You've received your first purple cloth diaper (hooray!) and another should be arriving any day.
- You still love being in the solly wrap. Mommy puts you in there many mornings so she can do preschool with the boys and keep you happy/asleep. You spend many afternoons in there too for that matter :)
- I'd guess you're about 9 lbs by now. You have your 2 month check-up on Monday so we'll see how much you've grown by then. And if you're on the growth chart!
- We went to the Snowmass Balloon Festival on September 19. You traveled well and did great while we were there.
- Such a cute sleeper, you won't get to wear it much longer.
- It seems like you sleep better when there's noise rather than quiet.
- You like the bouncy seat more than the swing. You don't seem to mind tummy time.
- You still give little smiles when you're sleeping and sometimes I notice a dimple on your right cheek.
- This is the outfit we brought you home in. Look how much you've grown!
- Making supper with just one arm. Because how can I put this sweet baby down?
Zoë we love you so much! This has been a fun month seeing you grow and start noticing your family more. Your little eyes track us across the room. You look around for me when you hear my voice. You have stopped crying during your baths and seem to enjoy them! We are so thankful for you!
