Five Months Old!

Levi, you are 5 months old! Here's what you've been up to this past month:

- You have started eating solid food! Your first (and favorite) was bananas. You've also tried sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, peas, green beans, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, applesauce, blueberries, quinoa, black beans, carrots, and rice. The first week you pushed most of the food back out with your tongue, but now you are eating pretty well. You have started making the "Mmm, mmm" sound when you like something you're eating. You like most everything! You even like trying to drink out of Mommy's cup!

- You have started sleeping on your tummy! Sometimes when you wake up in the middle of the night, I just roll you over instead of feeding you and you'll go back to sleep. You seem to really like it! You slept a couple of 7 hour stretches last month. And a few days I'm pretty sure you slept more than you were awake! You must have been growing :) You roll from your back to your tummy a lot during the day.

- You came to Mommy's 5K and sat in the umbrella stroller for the first time. You enjoyed your time with Daddy and Zeke and ate some food while I was jogging.

- You are getting more active and starting to play a little bit with your big brother. You sure do love him a lot! I've started laying a blanket out on the deck so you can watch and play while Zeke is out there.

- You were dedicated at church on Mother's Day. You wore the little tuxedo onesie like your big brother did for his dedication.

- You have such sweet smiles and a cute laugh!

- You are starting to notice Dora as she walks around the house! Apparently she knows you can't chase her like Zeke, because she doesn't run away and actually lets you pet her!

- You weigh about 15 lbs. and are approximately 25 in. tall!

Levi, Mommy and Daddy love you so much! You are growing fast! You bring such joy to our family with your smiles and the "conversation" you add at meal times. You are such a pleasure to be around. I can't wait to see how your personality continues to develop in the coming months and years!
