We haven't let ourselves buy many outfits for Baby Z (technically only one so far!) because we have received several bags of clothes from one of our friends who has two boys and is getting ready to have her first girl. It's also well known that many people like to buy outfits for you because they are cute and it's hard to pass them up! But on Saturday we were in Target looking around and I let myself venture into the baby clothing section... I actually only went down one part of it and we found an adorable outfit. It is extremely soft (NOT fleece!!!) and is brown and red. It has a little bear on the front wearing a red checkered scarf; the feet are little bears and the hood has bear ears --- awwwww! It was SO cute, and there was only one newborn size left, so we picked it up. We thought it could be a great outfit for taking him home from the hospital. I'm guessing it's going to be pretty cold, so he will be all snuggly and warm inside :o)
Random fact: Baby Z likes to chill out on the right side of my ribs. Sometimes I feel a little numb or tingly on my side, so I think he must be pressing on something. If it gets to be too much for me, I'll push on my side and I'm pretty sure I feel his head or a heel or something. So that's kind of cool! I can't distinguish his body part from the outside, but I definitely feel his pokes and prods.
This time next year we'll have a 10-11 month old! I wonder how that will affect my Christmas decorating... we already don't hang our ornaments very low because Dora will play with them. But I wonder what else we will have to do differently. I'm guessing he'll be mobile by then. It will be a different Christmas for sure!
To life... full of anticipation!
