10 Months Old!

Zoë, you are 10 months old! You are growing and changing by leaps and bounds! Here's what you've been up to the past month:

- You are getting around very well! Still army crawling, but you have gotten much faster and do try to get up on your knees. You just can't make yourself move forward once you're there. You also bring your legs up under you and have your little bottom way up in the air, which is very cute, but you just stay in one spot.

- You are eating so well! Your pincer grasp has really improved and I have begun to cut up tiny pieces of our meal and you feed yourself. Hooray! I still help with many things, but it's nice to have you feeding yourself some, such as puffs, chicken, fries, and scrambled eggs. You eat with us at all 3 meals, usually have a small snack in the afternoon, and you are nursing about 4-5 times a day, as well as one 4 oz. bottle before bed.

- You LOVE watching your brothers play! Sometimes I just put you in the Bumbo outside (or sit you in the sandbox) and you watch them and play with them. I can tell you are ready to be in on the action. They keep you entertained for 20-30 minutes sometimes!

You love to play in the sandbox with your brothers! 

- Your morning nap has decreased to about 45 min. and your afternoon nap is usually 1 1/2 - 2 hrs. You still like to take a little snooze between 4-5 pm and then go to bed around 9 pm and wake up around 7 am. A pretty great schedule if you ask me! You sleep best when you're on your tummy.

- You are wearing 6-9 month and 9 month clothes. You weigh about 15 lbs. I have quite a few 12 month clothes for the summer for you, so I'll probably start putting you in some of them because they are cute!

- You like to help me in the kitchen. You are the perfect size to put on the counter! Your head fits just under the cupboards, you sit up well, and so far you haven't tried to plummet to the ground. But you do grab for everything! Just today I put you on the counter while I washed a cup. You reached over to the bowl of popcorn nearby and just started munching away. I was a bit nervous about you choking, but it was just terribly cute, so I let it happen :)

Zoë, I love you very much and am so thankful you are my daughter! Summer is upon us and I can't wait to make some memories with our family of 5. I'm thankful you're here safely after our precarious summer last year. I look forward to the months ahead -- spray parks, swimming lessons, vacations, fireworks, and maybe even some camping.
