Zoë Kayte, you are six months old today! You are growing and changing and I can't believe it's already been half a year since you arrived!
 |
| Headed to Misty's to get Zeke's birthday drink |
 |
| Watching your brothers play. You're ready to be in on the action! |
- You are wearing mostly 3-6 month and 6 month clothes! You are tall and you have long feet so you need the room, especially in your footed pjs. You are thin enough, with a disposable diaper rather than cloth, to wear your 0-3 month clothes!
- You have such a great, joyful, wholehearted smile! I just love doing all I can to make you smile. You absolutely love your brothers and just watching them brings a smile to your face.
 |
| Sitting up so well! |
- You are a little more consistent in having a daily schedule then your brothers were. A typical day is: Wake-up around 7/7:30 am, morning nap at 10 am, afternoon nap around 1 pm, late afternoon nap around 4 pm, bedtime at 9/9:30 pm. I'm loving this routine with you!
 |
| Taking a snooze in your party dress during Zeke's birthday party, 1/30 |
- We got out the ocean tummy mat that has things for you to kick and reach for. Today (2/1) you rolled from your back to tummy while on it! You are enjoying the new things to see and reach for. You are about to grow out of the bouncy seat. You like to prop your feet up on the bar and push off or just hold them there. You do well sitting in the bumbo and sometimes in the boppy. Now when I pick you up, I can often put you on my hip and you hold yourself up pretty well. You've started to reach back and grab my hair which I love/dislike because it feels so nice to have your hands reaching for me and yet, you're still pulling my hair. Ouch!
 |
| I can't wait to see how the 3 of you grow and develop as siblings! |
- You continue to drool quite a lot and spit up pretty often as well. You try to sit up when I have you reclined against pillows and such. Your abs are just incredibly strong! You are starting to reach for things and get excited to see toys and balloons (from Zeke's birthday) and such. Your brothers can almost always make you smile, they don't even have to work for it like the the rest of us grown-ups.
 |
| In on the action for Zeke's birthday dinner |
- You are still primarily breastfeeding. Sometimes you'll drink 2 oz. of formula before bed. I have been giving you tastes of food, but you aren't super interested in really biting/chewing/swallowing yet. I've given you tastes of banana, mashed potatoes, cauliflower, applesauce, vegetable broth, carrots, and cuties. Typically after you've tasted them you cry a few minutes later, so that makes me think you and your tummy just aren't quite ready to be eating real food. We did go ahead and bring in the high chair so you can sit on your own at the table with us during meals. Most of the time you've been sitting on Mommy or Daddy's lap during meal times. Dairy (from me) seems to bother you, so I have been cutting it out for the past {almost} week and it seems to be making a difference already!
A few more I captured today 2/2:
Zoë we are just so thankful for your presence in our lives! You make the world more colorful with all your pinks and purples! Your smiles bring us happiness and I love all of your snuggles and little breaths when you're nuzzled against my neck and face. These past 6 months have just breezed by and when I think to another 6 months and all you'll have changed and developed, I cling to these baby moments, even if it means being up later with an upset tummy and crying or sitting on the couch feeding you when I know there are things to be done around the house. You are worth it! Completely and totally! I love you baby girl! Love, Mommy

Oh my goodness! Zoë you are so much like your Momma! I have so many memories come back when I see your pictures and read about your development and personality! I love you and I can't wait to see you again soon :) - Aunt Teresa
Happy six months, Zoë! You are so lovely and have such a beautiful smile. You are so totally worth it as Mommy says. Thankyou, Tricia, for doing such a wonderful job on your blog for all the kids. They will be so good to look back at and read in years to come. Love you Zoë. Mimi
