10 Months Old!

Levi, another month has quickly passed and you are 10 months old today! You have been sleeping terribly. Seriously awful! BUT I think it's partly because you've been through a lot of changes and developments in the past month! Here's what you've been up to: 

- You've started to squeeze your lips together and make little fish lips. Cute! 

- I've started putting you in some 12 month clothes! The 9 month pjs that have feet attached are too small. Most 9 month clothes still fit you around the middle, but are too short. 

- You usually sleep in your crib for your daytime naps. It's wonderful because I can lay you down asleep or almost asleep and you'll roll over with little to no crying and sleep very well! Now to figure out this nighttime thing... 

- You say, "Ma-ma-ma" a lot and it's usually when I'm around or you're trying to get my attention, so I think you've made the connection! You smile big when I say, "Zeke"!

- You laugh quite a bit! I love tickling you because you give me such delighted giggles! Sometimes I'll lay you down, asleep in bed; once your body hits the mattress, you smile, laugh, flip over and wake up! I can't help but smile when you do it because it is so sweet. (Although I would prefer you sleep, most of the time ;))

The sandbox is a favorite spot for you and brother to play! 

- You clap your hands a lot. Sometimes along to the music, especially if I'm clapping too. But also just for fun in your high chair, your pack-n-play, crib, or other random times. There's almost always a smile on your face when you're clapping.

Playing with our neighbor. 

- You do pretty great leaving hats on your head! I'm thankful and hope this continues as winter approaches so we can keep your head warm when it turns cold!

- You and Zeke do a lot of dancing together! It's so funny to see you stop and notice the music and start bouncing. You've started doing it while you're standing on your own, so it's even slower and more careful as to avoid falling over. When I'm watching Gilmore Girls and the opening song comes on, you stop what you're doing and turn toward the TV and dance. You and Zeke like dancing around to the closing song too!

You love to dance! 

- This video of you and Zeke is just plain cute! 

A hike around Lily Lake with your family! 

- You enjoyed playing with your cousin Miriam when she came to visit. You liked to touch your finger to her forehead, grab her bow, and pull on her lips.

- We changed things up and took you to the park like this tonight (10/16/14). I think you enjoyed the change. 

- You have 6 teeth! They're adorable and make you look older! I love seeing them when you smile or laugh and sometimes when you're sleeping :o) 

- You're walking! Not everywhere or all the time. But you're taking 5-20 steps at a time! You pull up on the couch a lot and then turn; it looks like you're deciding if you want to walk somewhere or not. You take your time and take slow, deliberate steps. You also like walking while holding on to the motorcycle.   

- You like to crawl around after Dora. Or pat her when she's on the back of the couch. She doesn't care for it, but you haven't been scared off yet. You continue to enjoy walking along the couch and looking out the window. Or grabbing the remotes off the back of the couch and pushing all the buttons.

You were watching a little girl climb the monkey bars. 

- You like going down the slide and swinging when we're at the park.

Levi, you are such a sweet, pleasant-tempered little guy! You want to do what everyone else is doing. You follow us around, usually sprint-crawling, and if you get left behind you start crying. You like to be in on the action! You're a pretty good eater, although you're starting to show a little picky-ness when it comes to vegetables. But we shall continue to give them to you. You enjoy reaching up and playing the piano. You like to walk along the bathtub as I'm filling it up with water. One time you fell in because you were trying so hard to reach one of the toys. You looked pretty cute all covered in bubbles, but it was still scary! You always take your baths with big brother. Mommy and Daddy love you so much!
