No Belt Needed

Daddy pulled the pants out of the wrong drawer a couple of days ago, so we have boy capris... 

The crazy thing? They zipped and buttoned shut!! My little 2 year old fits in his bro's 6-9 month jeans! What?!

...maybe just the one pair. 

4 Months Old

Oh my little baby, you are 4 months old today!

Morning pose -- April 17

You are so much fun to be around! Here are some things you've been doing recently:

- You've rolled over a couple times. From your back to your front. And when I put you on your tummy mat you're starting to rotate and move all over the place. Last week I had you in the bathroom while I was giving Zeke a bath. You were on a blanket and you pushed yourself backwards across the floor with your feet. Cute!



- You are holding your head up so well! And you're starting to kick your legs when you're on your tummy. Your legs are getting strong too and you like it when we hold you in a standing position. We have even held you up beside the tub to watch Zeke take his bath and you almost held on and stayed by yourself.



- I'm starting to put you in some 6 month clothes already! You are tall, but the main reason is because you wear cloth diapers, so they take up more room.

- You take some great naps! And occasionally they overlap when big brother is asleep. It's pretty great! The other day you fell asleep in Zeke's bed, so I let you sleep in there for awhile together. I don't know if that was a smart move or not, but I was able to take a run, and no one fell out of the bed, so I'm going to count it as a win.



- You give us lots of smiles and are starting to laugh. Especially when I'm trying to button up your shirts; you must be ticklish or something. It's so cute!

- I'm excited to start trying some food with you this month! Right now you're drinking about 6-8 oz of formula besides breastfeeding.

- Your hair is getting lighter, but I don't think it is quite as curly as Zeke's was.



- You seem to enjoy taking your baths! No more crying when we lay you in the tub.

- You are reaching out for the toys on your tummy mat and on your car seat.

Levi, you are such an adorable and easy-going baby! I think we are going to have lots of fun with you as you grow up. I love hearing your little voice develop and see your personality come out, especially when you interact with your family around the dinner table. We love you, little one!

Last week we took the boys through the car wash for the first time. Zeke had a blast, although you can't tell it from the picture. Now when we drive by he always points it out, in hopes we might go through again :)

Boys Cuddle Too!

Three Months!

Levi, you are 3 months old today! We are having so much fun with you! Here are some things you've been doing this past month. 

- You love watching your big brother! When you sit in our laps at meals, you watch him eat and give great big smiles! You must think he's pretty interesting! I think you're going to be great friends!!

I can't seem to get enough of these brother pictures! 

- You weigh about 12.5 lbs. and are about 24 in. long! The 3 month pajamas are starting to get a little tight, lengthwise. Am I really going to have to get out 3-6 and 6 month clothes so soon?!?! 

- You are nursing every 2-3 hrs. Plus you usually eat 4-6 oz. of formula! I think you will like solid foods when we get started! 

- You usually take a morning nap around 9 am. The rest of the day doesn't have a schedule yet. But you are doing less cat napping and more solid naps.

What a cute sleeper! 

 - You play with your tongue a lot. You like smiling and sticking it out at me when I talk to you. You also drool quite a bit and continue to sleep with your mouth open. Love it!!

Zeke was saying, "Eyes. Eyes." 

- Your head control is getting better and you can lift up your chest during tummy time. 

- You like staring at light fixtures. And lights, of course. 

We love you so much little one. Time really is flying by and I'm trying my best to soak up these precious days with you! Before I know it, you'll be running around with your big brother and I'll miss these days of snuggles and baby smiles and kisses!

I asked him to go out on the deck. I went to the kitchen, got him a graham cracker and went back to find him like this. Love it!
